Biographie
Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz (1646-1716) était un polymathe actif en
mathématiques, philosophie, physique, histoire, droit et logique. Il a fondé
le calcul différentiel et intégral aux côtés de Newton, a été un pionnier dans
le développement du système binaire, et a apporté des contributions
significatives à la métaphysique, à l'éthique, et à la théodicée (le problème
du mal). La vaste connaissance de Leibniz et sa capacité à combler les
disciplines à travers les âges ont solidifié sa réputation en tant que dernier
génie universel.
